Here are some designs I did for a mobile game called The Friend Game, which was a quiz game about how well you knew your friends. It was during my time at Zynga, but never released.
The initial version of the game was on the Facebook platform, similar to other popular Zynga products at the time. I pushed to move past this and develop a mobile version which stripped out a lot of the heavy illustrative elements such as avatars and environments, and focused on the core interactions. I envisioned this product appealing to Zynga's audience that played more casual titles like Words with Friends and Draw Something.
I designed all of the question flows, which included several versions of a slot machine like mechanic for revealing answers. Users would encounter many modes such as playing head to head, taking and starting polls, and scoring through streaks. The challenge was creating unique flows for each, but uniting them all into a holistic and simple experience for the user. They should simply enjoy the modes of play instead of having to concentrate on their differences.
The Friend Game, at its center, revolved around how people's answers to questions would reflect how people perceived their personality. This chart of 56 possible traits would dictate the colors, themes, and UI of the app based on the user's top trait. For example, a user with a top trait of "thoughtful" would be represented to others with UI elements of green in their profile, question flow, and other moments.
There were 13 different possible modes of play within the Friend Game, ranging from taking polls, guessing facts about friends, to sharing information about oneself in order for friends to guess.  I plotted out each experience into a UX wireframe in order to draw out what could be similar and unique about each experience.  It allowed me to manage a lot of UI changes and variations and create a system that would be comprehensible to the user. The image above shows examples of Fact Polls, Pop Quiz, and Quick Hits.
Here is a typical user flow for taking a Friend Poll, showing both right and wrong answers. The user has guessed previously whether or not his freind (Joe C.) would date someone shorter.  He finds out the answer and views comments made by other friends.  Each question changes Joe's personality chart and updates to show people's perception of him.
"Friendsy Mode" was a lightning round mode where the user would answer as many questions as possible in 30 seconds, racking up rewards and experience.
